PHOTO BOOTH EVENT SPECIALIST

This job currently involves:

  • Picking up equipment from our Florence, SC office***

  • Delivering, setting up, and operating photo booths at venues in various cities in South Carolina, and select cities in NC and GA

  • Operating at various events, such as weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings

  • Tearing down equipment and returning to the office the same day (when possible)

Our Ideal Photo Booth Event Specialist

  • Has a friendly personality and enjoys engaging with people.

  • Possesses time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Is well-organized and detail-oriented.

  • Has basic computer knowledge and outstanding customer service skills.

  • Can handle technical issues calmly.

  • Has experience in the events industry or photography (not required, but preferred).

  • Can lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

  • Owns a reliable vehicle, has a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and carries full vehicle insurance.

  • At least 18 years old.

We provide paid training for all of our attendants, covering everything needed to operate the booths successfully, with continued on-call support during events beyond the training period.

Hours

  • Most events range from 2-4 hours of booth operating time (travel and setup time may vary).

  • Most events begin between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

  • Request the events you want to work, and blackout dates on your dedicated scheduling calendar.

  • Most events are on weekends (Friday through Sunday), with occasional weekday events.

  • Event work is requested of you, but it is not mandatory. You control your schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude at all times.

  • Attend training and meetings as required.

  • Be extremely reliable and punctual. We count on you to honor your commitments, as our events are often once-in-a-lifetime occasions like weddings. Tardiness or no-shows are unacceptable.

  • Pick up equipment at our facilities.

  • Drive to event venues, set up and operate the designated equipment and accessories, then break down and return the equipment the same day.

  • Create a fun, engaging atmosphere for guests.

  • Keep the operating area organized and hazard-free throughout the event.

  • Dress according to company guidelines and/or Client request.

As Palmetto Photo Booth continues to grow, responsibilities may change over time to meet evolving needs.

Compensation

  • Training Period: minimum of 3 events.

  • Pay begins at $18 per hour (including setup and teardown) during training period, and up to $30 per hour after.

  • Receive parking, gate fees, and federal rate mileage reimbursement (round-trip from office to venue).

  • Opportunities for longevity raises and event tips.

  • Weekly payroll.

  • We currently do not offer retirement or health benefits.
